Vijay Balasubramanian

Vijay is a Managing Director within the Diversified Industrials Practice of KPMG Corporate Finance, and leads coverage of the Chemicals & Specialty Materials space. He has over 20 years of experience as an investment banker and has spent the majority of his banking career exclusively focused on the Chemicals and Specialty Materials sectors. In that time, Vijay has built an exceptional track record of executing M&A and financing transactions for large cap and mid-market clients in key markets across the world.
He began covering the sector in 2005 while at HSBC. During his time there, the team successfully announced or closed 50+ M&A transactions worth in excess of $75bn and raised over $50bn of capital. Subsequently, Vijay led Chemicals coverage at Deloitte Corporate Finance and Capstone Partners. His work has included raising debt and equity capital and buy- and sell-side assignments for clients in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
Vijay received an MBA from the University of Rhode Island and a BA in Economics from the University of Delhi.
